Executive coaches follow the core competencies established by ICF and use an individualized approach to executive coaching. Coaching is provided through phone, video, or in person, with session lengths ranging from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, held weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Coaches may also observe leaders or participants during meetings or offsite events with the participant. This allows coaches to provide real-time feedback and address specific coaching goals observed in a live environment. Jasen Vale Consulting offers individual and team coaching.
Coaching Methodology
In every coaching engagement, we begin with a process of discovery to identify your goals, areas of strength and where you want to focus. Additionally coaching with Jasen Vale Consulting encompasses three areas of growth:
Increased emotional intelligence; the ability to become more self-aware and manage our own behavior so we can better understand others and manage our relationships.
Increased adaptive capacity; learning the process of observe, interpret and intervene to navigate conflict, strengthen decision-making and take risks.
Increased effectiveness, including channeling individual ability to create and craft innovative and creative perspectives, solutions and input.
These three key areas are addressed in an individualized manner in each coaching relationship, based on the goals and needs of the participant. JVC also utilizes the CliftonStrengths assessment in coaching, and may incorporate other assessments or tools based on client need and preference.
A critical component of coaching success is the connection and relationship between the executive coach and the participant. We work to ensure a strong ‘fit’ between the coach and the client and ask to evaluate the relationship after the initial session to adjust fit where needed. Sometimes that means adjusting the coaching style, or in other times we may refer another executive coach to ensure the client has the best, most impactful experience.

JVC is known for our expertise in facilitating meetings, offsites and strategic planning. Session Lab’s James Smart describes facilitation as “the craft of guiding a group through a participatory process that makes it easier to achieve their goals.” JVC brings a leader and culture development foundation to facilitation allowing the group to learn and grow through the facilitation experience and better employ tools and mindsets needed to reach clear outcomes. Every client is different and every meeting is different. What doesn’t change is that facilitation can make your meetings and offsites more effective, more efficient and more fun. We customize every facilitation experience while adhering to our standardized process designed for greater effectiveness.
At JVC, we provide virtual, in-person and hybrid facilitation for ½ day, full day and multiple day events. We facilitate small group sessions who need support with challenging discussions. We facilitate three-day offsites for executive teams looking at how to lead differently and more effectively. We facilitate strategic planning offsites and team building offsites, highly conflicted conversations and teams working to be more effective. Team Dynamics is a foundational workshop in leader development programs or is offered as a stand-alone option for team building and team performance. This workshop uses CoreClarity and Gallup CliftonStrengths® to identify each person’s top 5 talents and how this impacts how a person communicates, is motivated and what makes them uniquely talented on a team. This forms the foundation for team dynamics around the talents shared in the team and how to leverage these for outstanding team performance.
High performing teams maximize each individual’s talents, leverage the collaborative advantage of the team, and execute at increased levels of excellence. It’s a workshop that provides learning in an interactive, dynamic environment, perfect for both greater effectiveness and team building.
Workshop Outcomes include:
Increased self-awareness; participants learn five areas of natural talent they can leverage and grow to be more effective, happier and healthier. Participants also learn more about their shadow side, what drains them, and how talents impact their decision-making, motivation and collaboration efforts.
Increased team-effectiveness; participants don’t just learn about themselves, as they learn about each other, they begin increasing how the work more effectively together.
Increased healthy conflict; conflict can be used to our advantage for making better decisions, addressing risks and moving a team or organization forward. Through this workshop, participants learn to recognize how their talents may collide with others creating conflict that can be refocused for positive outcomes.
